Our Past

When Covent was established in 1828 as a church, it was little more than a group of believers meeting under a brush arbor. Little did they know what God had planned for that group. Back then, farmers set aside an acre of their crops as “God’s Little Acre”. The profit from that acre was given to the church. God has done much with His little acre.

Our Present

 

God is more faithful than the sunrise and has always been here at Convent. We are humbled and thankful that He chooses to use and bless this portion of The Body. He has changed the lives of the people in this community and around the world through the ministry that we call Convent Baptist Church. One testament to His work is the growth that we have seen both spiritually and in numbers.

 

 

 

 

   

 

 

Our Future

 

As we continue to see God’s hand at work we are hopeful of the work that He may call us to. In preparation of this we are striving to increase our ability to serve our community and be a continued blessing. We look to the day when we will break ground on a Family Life Center or other tools and the ways that God will use them to His glory.
